Is it safe if I rename my current pleasantview from N to N for example and keep its default version instead of swapping them? Yes, you can! But you must also rename EVERY file in the folder that starts with N — every file in the lots folder, character folder, etc. Thank you so, so much for making this, Cindy! The amount of time and dedication it must have taken. Thank you very much for sharing it. I must be doing something wrong. Sometimes this happens when installing clean template neighborhoods into an existing neighborhood. There are two ways you can try to fix it. Start the game and get it to generate a new Sims 2 folder, and then put the neighborhood back in there. Copy all your mods and CC to the new folder if you like.
That should get the scripted events working. Good luck! Is there another fix I could try? Generating a new Sims 2 folder usually works. Then start the game to generate a new one.
Delete the N neighborhood and place mine in the neighborhoods folder instead. Make sure you downloaded the correct version. Thanks for the help! Awesome job as always. Unfortunately I have been having issues with downloading my cc and was wondering if you had any advice? Hair never shows up in game, and neither do houses for lots. The only thing i have in game currently is two texture packs, a pack of eyes, one shirt, one hairstyle which looks like an updated default hairstyle , and one outfit.
Hi Carolyn! Make sure you are unzipping your files before putting them in your downloads folder. You need a file archiving program such as Winrar or 7zip. Another thing to consider with CC is that many hairs and clothing will require a mesh. As for residential and community lots, they are installed differently than other CC. They will be Sims 2 pack files. You just download them to your desktop, then double-click on them and wait for the game to install them.
